America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network

With its nationwide association of food banks, America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network has established itself as being passionate about fighting hunger. And one partner they’re very happy to have in their efforts is The Abraham Foundation. Vicki Escarra, President and CEO, says, “The Abraham Foundation is enthusiastic about helping others, and about wanting to make a difference in the community.” It quickly became obvious though that The Abraham Foundation’s drive extended beyond its own community. The Foundation donated funds toward their fuel costs, allowing them to continue transporting food to locations across the country.

But that’s just the beginning. The Abraham family is interested in seeing the organizations they work with succeed at every level. That’s why they’re helping South Florida’s Daily Bread Food Bank, one of the many food banks under the umbrella of America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network, develop a business plan so they can get themselves a new building. “The people at The Abraham Foundation are the best thing about working with them,” Escarra says. “They believe in your mission.” And through The Foundation’s help, the fight against hunger is one mission that just might be accomplished.
