Camillus House
In every city across America, homelessness is a pervasive issue that people are working to solve. And Camillus House is making great strides toward that goal in the Miami region, thanks to the help of The Abraham Foundation. Their support has played an important role in allowing Camillus House to offer the area’s most complete range of social and clinical services designed to address chronic homelessness. Gloria Barbier, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, says, “I’m always amazed at how involved in the community The Abraham Foundation is. There aren’t many people around who’ve made as important an impact as they have.”
The Abraham Foundation’s contribution doesn’t end there, though. “Mr. Abraham is always lending a hand,” Barbier says. Thanks to the support of organizations like The Abraham Foundation, Camillus House is able to offer the area’s homeless population more than 500,000 free meals per year, as well as provide emergency, transitional and permanent housing. With continued commitment, it’s a partnership that could one day eliminate chronic homelessness from Miami-Dade County.
