Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami

When Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami needed help building homes in South Miami’s Marshall Williamson neighborhood in 2003, they decided to turn to The Abraham Foundation. It was the beginning of a great relationship that Mia Batlle, Development Director, is happy to see flourishing to this day. “The Abraham Foundation has been instrumental in our work,” she says. “When we were building in Little Haiti, they all came out to work with us. The commitment of the Abraham family speaks for itself; they have a real passion for community service.”

The next project pairing Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami and The Abraham Foundation is a series of townhouses in Liberty City. “We were looking for someone with compassion,” Batlle says, “and The Abraham Foundation was the first to come to mind. They are very supportive, extremely personable and always quick to respond.” The result has been a huge impact on the community – one that is sure to continue for years to come.
