Miami Rescue Mission
The Miami Rescue Mission realized they’d found people who truly understood what it meant to give back when they found The Abraham Foundation. Reverend Ronald Brummitt, President, was always impressed by The Foundation’s contribution of 80-90 turkeys to the Mission’s Annual Thanksgiving Day Banquet. But once he got to know them, he discovered just how deep the Abraham family’s dedication went. The Foundation has gone so far as to donate funds to be put toward bolstering the Mission’s infrastructure, which has resulted in a new van, roof repairs and more, while several family members got involved with Martin Luther King Day. “It’s refreshing,” Reverend Brummitt says, “to find a foundation that is as interested in seeing you succeed as they are in giving you money. The Abraham Foundation is always willing to help.”
In fact, The Abraham Foundation has helped Miami Rescue Mission so much that they chose to honor Anthony Abraham by naming him their Donor Next Door – an initiative designed to highlight someone who’s made a real difference in the community. “He’s got a real heart for people,” Reverend Brummitt says. “He has a vision to make the world a better place.” And through his foundation’s work with the Miami Rescue Mission, he is.
