“Grateful for the opportunity to speak about family, purpose, and service at the Rotary Club of Coral Gables. Sharing the story of the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation, the values passed down by my parents, and why inclusion through sport—especially blind soccer—matters deeply to us. Together, we stand united and stronger.”

“It was an honor to meet His Holiness Pope Leo XIV during the International Catholic Legislators Network gathering—my first audience with the first American pope in history.
I had the privilege of presenting him with a commissioned painting by US based Lebanese artist Alex Abli, capturing his life journey to the papacy. A small hidden detail embedded in the artwork—a White Sox baseball—was a personal touch that resonated with the Holy Father and brought a smile to his face.
Along with this gift, I presented a proposal for “A Prayer for Peace, Love, and Unity in Lebanon”—an unprecedented interfaith blessing ceremony at the Beirut silos memorial site, calling on His Holiness to bring together leaders from all of Lebanon’s faith communities to bless the site where 241 lives were lost in the 2020 explosion.
In my letter to Pope Leo XIV the artwork “Beauty from Ashes” seeks to transform tragedy into a living tribute and a lasting symbol of remembrance, resilience, and hope, featuring Lebanon’s Cedar tree that gracefully reveals symbols of all faiths: the Christian cross, the Islamic crescent, and the Druze star.
His Holiness received both the gift and the proposal with gratitude, a moment that left me deeply moved and hopeful for what lies ahead.”

“Conversations like these matter. Bringing together educators, advocates, and partners to explore how blind soccer can become part of public school programs reflects a shared belief in access, dignity, and opportunity for all students.
Inclusion isn’t an idea—it’s something we build together.”
