As Chairman of the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation — and Sport Ambassador for USA Blind Soccer — Thomas A. Abraham represented a cause that is at the heart of what we stand for: inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for all.

His run at the TCS Sydney Marathon 2025 was a tribute to the courage and focus of the athletes of USA Blind Soccer, whose determination continues to inspire us.

Anthony R. Abraham Foundation Board Member Nancy Bailey visited the Marian Center—a place that has been changing lives for more than six decades.

Founded 62 years ago by nuns from Turin, Italy, the Marian Center provides exceptional care and education for individuals with special needs. In addition to its residential program, the center welcomes more than 90 students daily for adult training, where participants create jewelry and artwork sold to support their programs.

During the visit, Nancy met with Dorothy Norton, Executive Director Maria Fogerty, Resident Manager Sister Filomena, and Executive Director Sister Lidia Valli to see firsthand the creativity and compassion that define this remarkable community.

The visit included a stop at the school’s chapel, which carries a special story—it was once where Coach Don Shula came to pray before football practice. It also featured a showcase of student artwork inspired by the style of artist Romero Britto, who recently spent time with the students.

The Marian Center remains a beacon of care, faith, and empowerment for children and adults with special needs. The Anthony R. Abraham Foundation is proud to support its mission.
